China Beauty Trend Study

China's social media is booming and becoming more sophisticated and dynamic. By June 2017, the WeChat community had reached 789 million and Weibo's had reached 340 million. These two key platforms in China's social media landscape generated millions of mentions and buzz around the beauty industry and its products.

Using Isentia's Media Intelligence services, we analysed social activity including trends, sentiment and classification to look deeper into the conversations and brands that are all about beauty. We also undertook further study using Natural Language Processing (NLP) to better unearth the perspective of reputation.
